A state grant of $342,400 has been allocated to the Borough of Bloomfield for enhancements to its municipal park. The announcement was made by Representative Perry Stambaugh, who serves the Perry and Juniata districts.

The funding will facilitate the development of a walking trail, a parking area, and features to ensure accessibility for individuals with disabilities. Additionally, it will support stormwater management on-site.

"This park near the municipal building will be a fantastic resource for New Bloomfield residents who want to stretch their legs, walk their dogs or simply get fresh air. It is nice to think this area will be preserved and maintained for generations to come," said Stambaugh.

The grant comes from the Department of Conservation & Natural Resources’ Community Conservation Partnerships Program.
