State Rep. Perry A. Stambaugh | Pennsylvania 86th Legislative District
Rep. Perry Stambaugh, a Republican representing Perry and Juniata counties in the Pennsylvania General Assembly, has been recognized by the Institute for Legislative Analysis (ILA) for his commitment to conservative principles and limited government. The Washington, D.C.-based organization awarded him the "Charlie Gerow Award: Champion of Limited Government."
Stambaugh's voting record earned a 96 percent grade from the ILA, making him one of only six state representatives to achieve such a high score. "I am extremely humbled to be one of the few PA lawmakers recognized as a Champion of Limited Government," Stambaugh stated. He emphasized that this recognition aligns with his goals set by his constituents, stating, "Receiving this honor shows I am accomplishing exactly what the people of Perry and Juniata counties sent me to Harrisburg to do."
He further elaborated on his philosophy regarding governance: "Protecting our liberty and freedom starts with checking the ability of government to interfere in the lives of its citizens. History has consistently shown that less government is almost always the best government."
