2021 has 3.4% of Perry County residents unemployed

Perry County recorded an unemployment rate of 3.4% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 789 people out of the 45,879 living in Perry County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Perry County has remained fairly stable compared to the 3.4% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Perry County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.5%.

Of the 22,569 people who had a job during that time, 43 were employed in the Armed Forces and 22,526 belonged to the civilian labor force.
