Join the Historical Society of Perry County for fun day of history and local lore as we tour part of Perry County in a fully narrated journey visiting sites suspended in time. This full day excursion aboard a climate controlled motorcoach will bring to life the birthplace of the only two brothers in American history that served as governors of two states during the same election year, the home site of one of George Washington’s most trusted officers, a visit to Green Park School, the oldest Presbyterian congregation west of the Susquehanna, the only surviving structure of the Newport and Sherman’s Valley Railroad, where the first regiment of volunteers for the Union Army came from, where the true hero of the American Revolution was from, Shoaff’s Mill, the oldest and most unique courthouse in Pennsylvania, and so much more.
