Good Morning Newport Staff/Parents/Students,
Due to minor delays, the main High School parking lot adjacent to Caroline and 6th Streets will remain closed next week (8/22-9/5). We expect the parking lot to be re-opened when school returns to session on Tuesday, 9/6.
The District will continue to provide parking for high school student drivers at the elementary school parking lot adjacent to Fickes Lane and referenced in the attached photo. We ask that students enter this lot from the drive lane that connects directly to Fickes Lane.
We will attempt to accommodate as many student drivers as possible in school parking lots. However, students are also welcome to utilize public street parking located near the school. As always, parent drop-off and bus transportation are available and would assist in alleviating parking issues. We apologize for this short-term inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and patience as we improve existing parking areas.
