Webp genbusiness002

Perry County Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

Name: 33rd Annual Union Canal Days

Date: May 21, 2022 - May 22, 2022

Website: https://lebanoncountyhistory.org/canal-tunnel

Event Description:

The Union Canal Tunnel at 25th Street and Union Canal Drive in Lebanon, PA is the oldest existing transportation tunnel in the United States. Every spring the Friends of Union Canal Tunnel Park hold Union Canal Days as a way to raise awareness of this important structure in our community and to raise the funds needed to maintain the park. As the 2022 event draws closer we are getting a clearer picture of what it will look like this year. Saturday you will find a variety of paninis from Which Way Sandwiches and Artisan pizza from a wood fire oven. On Saturday and Sunday, you can get grilled cheese sandwiches from Mad Dash and pulled pork sandwiches, burgers, fried pickles, and tater tots from The Chubby Unicorn. You will find your annual favorites like the flower booth and basket raffle, some returning groups such as the 93rd Infantry and the Society for Creative Anachronism, and several new vendors who will be selling a variety of wares. On Saturday from 11:30 to 12:30 the Cedar Crest Middle School musicians will be performing, at 1:30 Jennifer Kuzo from Visit Lebanon Valley will be reading her book Lebanon Lilly for the children. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and Jennifer will be autographing the book for you. From 3:00 to 4:00 we will close out the day with classic songs by Chip Stanilla. Bring your teenagers to the park from 11:00 to 5:00 to take a spin in the State Farm driving simulator or drop by the FROGGY booth to say hello from 10:00 to 12:00. Sunday will bring the return of the Perseverance Band from 1:00 to 2:00 and Lee Moyer from 3:00 to 4:00. Both Lee and the band have performed at our annual event many times. The event is open Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm.
