Perry County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Feb. 23.
An open kettle soup, Bake sale and Sandwich Sale will be held on Saturday, March 19 beginning at 10 AM at Millerstown Community Park just outside of Millerstown on Juniata Parkway. The sale will be held at the Millerstown Community Building, and the proceeds will be used to continue the beautification, upkeep and maintenance of the park. The sale will continue until everything is sold.
Chicken Corn, Ham Bean and and Beef Vegetable will be the three kettle soups that will be available for sale by the Quart or bowls with lids. Baked goods and snacks of all kinds will also be available for sale. Sandwiches for sale will be Ham and Cheese and Hoagies (Subs) to take home also; no one will be allowed to eat at the community building; all food is take out to enjoy at home.
Donations of baked goods or snacks will be greatly appreciated. For additional information or to make contributions, please call Curt Black at 717-589-3598. Pickup of donations can be arranged or bake goods can be dropped off at Curt's home or the Community building before 10 AM on March 19 or from 5-7 PM at the park building on March 18 at the park.
Community support is needed in order to continue development and care of the beautiful park along the Juniata River; hope to see you there; pass it on.
