Perry County Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

Event Description:

Parktoberfest in Millerstown 

There will be many craft vendors set up, a car meet, scarecrow contest, pumpkin painting and make scarecrow designs for children, live entertainment presented by The Broken Record Band, and a new food menu featuring “Smash Burgers” and German and traditional food. There will be tables full of Chinese Auction items to buy, great surprises, and also a 50-50. 

Come out and enjoy the day while helping us support your great park. 

We are still accepting craft vendors for the show. Call Curt Black at 717-589-3598 for information; great time to do your Christmas shopping.

The car meet is open to cars, trucks, motor cycles, tractors, anything that moves. A dash plaque will be given to the first 100 vehicles and door prizes will be given. Fee is $10, and if you need information, call Dennis Comp, 717-275-4826.

The Scarecrow Contest will be exciting and use creative ideas within the bounds of acceptable public displays. Call Cindy Roush at 717-589-3766 or 717 226-3371 for detailed information. They have to be delivered and set up on October 16. Cash prizes will be $100, $50, and $25, first, second and third. Entries will be voted on by visitors with monetary donations placed in envelopes and placed in the slot in the Hoverter Pavilion. The Scarecrows will be numbered , and when voting, visitors need to put the number that you want to vote on their envelope.
