County of Perry recently issued the following announcement.

Pandemic Assistance for Livestock Producers and Timber Harvesters/Haulers

The USDA has announced pandemic assistance for livestock producers and timber harvesters / haulers.

The Pandemic Livestock Indemnity Program (PLIP) will assist livestock and poultry producers who suffered losses during the pandemic due to insufficient access to processing.  Producers can apply for assistance through the USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) July 20 through September 17, 2021.

The Timber Harvesters and Haulers program (PATHH) will assist timber harvesting and timber hauling business that have experienced losses due to COVID-19.  Loggers and truckers can apply for assistance through the USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) July 22 through October 15, 2021.
