Cost of college went up for all students at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital School of Nursing

Tuition and fees rose 1 percent for 2018-19 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital School of Nursing, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Pennsylvania students paid $18,330 to attend the two-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $188 more than the $18,142 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 83 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 16 students received grants or scholarships totaling $79,772 and 18 students took out student loans totaling more than $104,546.

Including all undergraduates (51), 31 students used grants or scholarships totaling $160,598, and 32 students took out $212,176 in federal student loans.
