Pennsylvania State Representatives Rothman and Stambaugh will host a free seminar on concealed carry on July 31 at Shermans Dale Community Fire Co. in Perry County. The event is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m., with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.
The seminar will feature Perry County Sheriff David Hammar, who will provide information about Pennsylvania’s concealed-carry permitting process and firearm laws. Sheriff Hammar’s presentation aims to educate attendees on the complexities and nuances of state laws regarding firearms.
Rothman emphasized the importance of the session, stating, “Pennsylvanians have the right to bear arms — a right that is protected by both the U.S. Constitution and the Pennsylvania Constitution. We’re pleased to offer this event as a resource to those interested in learning about the Commonwealth’s concealed-carry laws, related responsibilities, and best practices.”
Stambaugh also highlighted the value of the seminar, saying, “Pennsylvania’s firearms laws are nuanced, so I’m thankful we have Sheriff Hammar coming to this event to cover changes and updates for responsible gun owners. This seminar offers an important opportunity for information gathering and having questions answered.”
Residents interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP, though it is not mandatory. RSVPs can be made online or by calling (717) 582-2454.
