Senator Greg Rothman shared updates on his recent activities and legislative initiatives in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) between August 18 and August 19, 2025. The tweets highlight his engagement with the Perry County community and efforts to promote online safety for families in Pennsylvania.
On August 18, Rothman posted about his attendance at a local event: “Had a great time at the Perry Co. Community Fair!” Later that day, he recognized several individuals for their contributions to the community during the fair, writing, “Honored to help recognize 3 community leaders at this year’s Perry Co. Community Fair: Farmer of the Year, Hunter Smith; Friend of the Fair, Brian Peters; & outstanding ag educator, Krista Pontius, recipient of the Golden Owl award. Thanks for ALL you do! Congeratulations, again!”
The following day, Rothman announced his involvement in co-sponsoring a state resolution focused on digital safety awareness. In an August 19 post he stated: “Glad to join @SenatorMartinPA to co-sponsor SR 136 which designates 8/17 -8/23 as ‘Social Media Safety and Parental Awareness Week’ in PA. The purpose of the measure is to equip kids & parents to recognize & respond to online threats.”
Rothman’s participation in these events reflects ongoing efforts by Pennsylvania legislators to engage with local communities and address emerging issues such as social media safety for children and parents.
